| Spring has finally arrived. Of course, that means warmer weather,
the Easter Bunny, and baskets brimming with candy for the kids. Please
remember to brush after sugary treats. In our continuing effort to keep you informed, we want to let you know about the current federally mandated privacy policy. First and foremost, I want to reassure you that our office has never shared patients' personal information. The information we have accumulated about you or your family is only used by our staff for your benefit. The Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996, or HIPAA, has led to new requirements for managing patient information in the dental office. As a result, our staff has had extensive training in the implementation of HIPAA. Enclosed is our Notice of Privacy Practices for your records. Be sure to read it carefully. If you have any questions, feel free to contact our office. As summer approaches, we all tend to become busier. Please remember that regular preventive dental visits and good daily oral hygiene are essential to overall health. Our entire staff wishes you and yours a wonderful summer. |
