As spring blossoms, we have been busy making our office better for you.
We are updating our computer systems to more efficiently run our practice. We have also added a more
comfortable "electric" handpiece, which has been very well received. These improvements are the least
we can do to show our thanks for your continued support and patient referrals.
I had the privilege of being this year's chairperson for Children's Dental Health Month, sponsored by the Chicago Dental Society. Our hygienist Tamara and I went to Prussing Elementary School to promote the Illinois State Dental Society's campaign against sugary, acidic beverages called "Got Rot." We spoke with teachers and staff about the effects of soft drinks on oral health. The teachers used our information to educate the children and parents on this important health issue. We educated over 900 children with this program. Tamara also spoke to the students at Harriet Beecher Stowe Academy. She gave brushes, toothpaste and coloring books to the children. The youngsters thought Tamara was the tooth fairy! We are offering ZOOM-2 bleaching, as seen on TV's "Extreme Makeover".
