Non-Surgical Periodontal Therapy Options

Grateful Dental treats gum disease using many non-surgical treatments, including but not limited to deep cleanings, diode lasers, antibacterial mouth rinses and Arestin.  We also recommend an all-natural gel called AO ProVantage Gel by Periosciences. This aqueous gel can be applied after your proper oral hygiene routine.  It is best used following the use of the electric power brush for two minutes, daily c-shaped flossing and/or after the use of a water flosser. It is a unique combination of antioxidants and essential oils which together stimulate your body’s immune system while actively fighting bad bacteria that cause halitosis, gingivitis and periodontal disease.  It is ideal for inflamed and bleeding gums. We have seen amazing and consistent results with our patients. The combination of ingredients is the key. Below you can find a list of all the active ingredients and their role.

We also use it as an adjunct to many of our non-surgical and surgical procedures like laser assisted scaling and root planing or implant placement.
